Today, in the long standing tradition of merging other games that we love into Minecraft, a fan of WOW has begun the MASSIVE undertaking of importing the entire world of Azeroth into Minecraft. The player is planning on making it a 1:1 scale model of the world – to anyone who has ever played WOW, you may be wondering if this Minecraft player intends to live forever.
Why is the player going though such extreme lengths to get recognition? Well, since Minecraft started to get popular back in 2009, the bar has been raised pretty high in terms of what people are going to be in awe over. Think about it this way, once the entire world of Azeroth is produced, will the next MMORPG world to get imported over to Minecraft seem as unique and compelling an idea?
This is an important thing to think about, because it makes a person think about the future of Minecraft. What will things have built in six months from now? In a year? In five years? It is impossible to say, considering all of the new content that is going to be released, but one thing is for sure: it is going to shatter our current definition of epic.
